Students who regularly solve algebra-related problems outside of class, often struggle in class with fundamental algebra concepts, such as combining like terms, using the distributive property, and word problems with inequalities. In these cases, their poor math performance is more closely associated with arithmetic and pre-algebra holes and not trusting themselves, rather than an inability to understand Algebra. At Kibolebole we reassure our students that we are teaching them what they already know, and provide them with the guidance to succeed in Algebra and beyond.
