Join us on Sunday Dec 1 at 9AM ET 1 Session, $25 Afrikans are experiencing ‘prolonged cruel and unjust treatment and control.’ We are experiencing oppression. Our oppression is a part of each moment of our lives because our oppressors are relentless. It is no wonder that we often lack the capacity that this life requires. Houses are stolen, jobs are removed, education is withheld. Roadblocks are intentionally erected while tools are purposefully hidden. We live in a society that is both obsessed with and repulsed by our Afrikanity. We live in a society that understands our brilliance and seeks to benefit from it, while denying that we are brilliant in the first place. It is no wonder that we often blame ourselves for our lack of capacity. It is important to remember that, while it is our responsibility to solve our own problems, we did not create our problems. We must not blame ourselves. We must remember that the real solution is one that ends our oppression.
